Owen Bower Adams
Halfway between an ok programmer and an average manager

Welcome to my corner of the internet, a place where I'm hoping to talk about technology, tech leadership and my own journey through the tech industry. I'm currently heading up a platform engineering team at an innovative vertical farming company in Scotland, tinkering in a few open-source projects, and for a time volunteered as a roller derby referee (I don't see that coming up much to be fair).

A few folk I've been talking to have asked me about the goal for my website and 'who the audience is'. To be honest the main audience is me and I'm hoping some others might occasionally find it interesting. I'll be mainly talking about the technology around CI, CD, the impact of the cloud and kubernetes on how developers can approach problems as well as discussion around leadership in tech and the challenges there.

I'm also hoping to use this as a personal diary of sorts, capturing my experiences, ongoing projects and the occasional horror story wisdom gained along the way.

Have a look at my blog posts for a deeper dive into my opinions on tech, leadership and the occasional shower thought. Check out my projects to see what I've been up to lately, from my professional work to random ideas I don't want to lose. I've also got a notes section, which is the public side of my obsidian knowledge vault and an attempt at learning in the open. Finally there's the general miscellaneous section, which is where I'll link to any talks I've done.

Thanks for stopping by and reach out through my social links if you ever want to chat!
